Lawn bowls

We are a Bowls Club based in Victoria Recreation Ground (entrance in Park Road).
We play socially on a Monday (2pm to 4pm subject to weather and green) from April to End of September.
We play a number of friendly matches during the outdoor season, and the green is open for practice most days of the week.

Open Days 2025
Our open days for 2025 are:-

Saturday/Sunday 12th/13th April - 2 to 4pm
Easter Monday 21st April - 2 to 4pm
Saturday 26th April - 10am to 12 noon
Saturday 3rd May - 10am to 12 noon
Monday 5th May 2-4pm (General club meet - all welcome)
Sunday 18th May 2-4pm (new)
Saturday 24th May 2-4pm (new)
Monday 26th May 2-4pm (new)
Tuesday 3rd June - 5 to 8pm.
Saturday 28th June 10 to 12 noon (new)

Any other day by arrangement.

Our short mat bowls continues until mid April in the clubhouse.

We welcome anybody to come and try bowls. You will be most welcome.
Training will be given.
You don't need to have any equipment, other than some flat soled trainers and yourself,
Bowls can be provided in the first instance.
